THE BEAST OF WEDI OMBO BEACH, MOUNT KIDUL


Wedi Ombo Beach is a natural tourist attraction as well as a water reserve in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta. This site is located in Gunung Kidul, Yogyakarta, Barong Village, Gilisbo, about 70 kilometers from the city center and can be reached in two hours. The name Wedi Ombo Beach itself comes from the Javanese language, wedi means sand and ombo means wide.

From this it follows that the name of this tourist destination is based on its wide sandy beaches. Like the Gunung Kidul beach which is famous for its beauty, Wedi Ombo also has a stunning beauty with high cliffs and fine white sand. This beach consists of volcanic and organic sand, and also has volcanic facies of volcanic rock, rhyolite, adesite and limestone. 4. There is a snorkeling spot Apart from surfing, snorkeling is another exciting activity that visitors can try. As a water shelter, accumulations of underwater coral reefs have been preserved, and many fish can be seen while snorkeling.
